Daytona Corp. said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to ¥41.05 per share, a gain of 26.5% from ¥32.46 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥87.5 million, an increase of 27.3% from ¥68.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 5.4% from 4.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 8.2% on an annual basis to ¥1.61 billion from ¥1.49 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 6.7% from the prior-year period to ¥1.47 billion from ¥1.38 billion.
Reported net income rose 41.8% year over year to ¥89.8 million, or ¥42.15 per share, from ¥63.3 million, or ¥29.91 per share.
