Insurance moves: Everest Re names VP of professional liability team

Life and health

U.K.-based Legal & General Group PLC named Ali Crossley managing director of partnerships within its insurance division, effective March 4, 2019, FT Adviser reported.

Crossley joins from BGL Group Ltd., where she was managing director of the Junction division, which runs affinity partner brands. At L&G, she replaces Mark Holweger, who was named head of the company's U.S. division in September.

Lloyd's of London announced the appointment of Albert Benchimol as an external member and Victoria Carter as a working member of the Council of Lloyd's, effective Feb. 1, 2019.

Additionally, Michael Watson, currently on the council, has been re-elected as an external member.

Benchimol is president and CEO of AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd., while Watson is executive chairman of Canopius AG. Carter has been in the Lloyd's market for 38 years.

Property and casualty

Everest Re Group Ltd. appointed Rob Diziki vice president of the professional liability team in New York.

He will be responsible for the development and expansion of Everest's lawyers, accountants and miscellaneous professional liability offerings. Most recently, Diziki was at ProSight Global Holdings Ltd.

Chung Kuo Insurance Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Mega Financial Holding Co. Ltd., added Shiow Lin, senior executive vice president of Mega International Commercial Bank Co. Ltd., and Wen-Yeong Hsieh, senior vice president of Mega International Commercial Bank Co. Ltd., as directors.

The duo's appointment is effective Dec. 19.

Lin replaced Yung-Chen Huang on the board, while Hsieh replaced Jung-Lung Hung.

RSA Insurance Group PLC named Neil Strickland director of a new commercial customer experience function within its Global Risk Solutions business, effective immediately.

Strickland had been director of risk consulting. His new role will combine risk consulting, marketing and customer management.
