UK FCA names new director of competition

The U.K. Financial Conduct Authority appointed Sheldon Mills director of competition, effective in November.

Mills will join the financial watchdog from the Competition and Markets Authority, where he serves as senior director of mergers and state aid.

At the FCA, Mills will be responsible for delivering market studies and ensuring anticompetitive behavior is discouraged in the financial services industry.
