ChoiceOne board authorizes share buyback

The board of Sparta, Mich.-based ChoiceOne Financial Services Inc. authorized the repurchase of up to 100,000 common shares.

The approved amount is inclusive of the 20,424 shares previously authorized but still unpurchased. Shares repurchased will become treasury shares.

ChoiceOne additionally said Greg Armock has joined the board, for a term that expires at the 2018 annual shareholder meeting. His appointment took effect Jan. 24. On the same day, K. Timothy Bull stepped down, in accordance with the board's retirement policy.

Armock is owner and president of Armock Mechanical Contractors Inc.
