Domy fiscal Q2 profit climbs 32.3% YOY

Domy Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, amounted to ¥18.93 per share, an increase of 32.3% from ¥14.31 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥51.3 million, an increase of 32.3% from ¥38.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 0.6% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥8.15 billion from ¥8.29 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥8.07 billion from ¥8.24 billion.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to ¥45.0 million, or ¥16.62 per share, from ¥17.0 million, or ¥6.28 per share.
