Citrix Systems Inc. said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 49 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 82 cents per share.
EPS rose 53.6% year over year from 32 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $79.8 million, an increase of 45.7% from $54.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 10.0% from 7.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to $796.8 million from $781.6 million, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to $660.0 million from $693.0 million.
Reported net income increased 95.7% on an annual basis to $103.7 million, or 64 cents per share, from $53.0 million, or 31 cents per share.
