B-R 31 Ice Cream Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to a loss of ¥9.53 per share, compared with a loss of ¥7.98 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥91.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥76.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 1.9% from negative 1.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥4.91 billion from ¥4.81 billion, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to ¥5.08 billion from ¥4.93 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥82.0 million, or a loss of ¥8.51 per share, compared to a loss of ¥73.0 million, or a loss of ¥7.58 per share, in the year-earlier period.
