TCP Capital names director, converts to Delaware limited liability company

TCP Capital Corp., in connection with the closing of investment adviser Tennenbaum Capital Partners LLC's transaction with BlackRock Inc., appointed Karyn Williams as an independent director on the company's board, effective Aug. 1.

The company also amended its certificate of incorporation and bylaws, both effective as of Aug. 1, to effectuate its name change to BlackRock TCP Capital Corp. from TCP Capital Corp.

Additionally, the operating company withdrew its election to be regulated as a business development company and withdrew the registration of its common limited partner interests, both on Aug. 1. On Aug. 2, the company terminated its general partner and converted to a Delaware limited liability company.
