Luxcara acquires 121-MWp solar plant in Spain

Asset manager LUXCARA GmbH on Jan. 10 announced that it has acquired the 121-MWp Guillena-Saltera solar project in southern Spain.

Construction of the facility will begin soon, according to a news release. Commercial operation of the facilities is scheduled to begin during the second quarter of 2020.

The facility will be connected to the Salteras transformer substation owned by Red Electrica de Espana S.A.U. Output of the project will be sold to an off-taker under a power purchase agreement.

The project was acquired for a portfolio of institutional investors and was developed by Solarig Global Services SA, which will also construct the facility as an engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
