German jobless rate unchanged at 3.1% in November 2019

Germany's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came in at 3.1% in November 2019, unchanged from the previous month, provisional data from the Federal Statistical Office showed.

The adjusted unemployment rate, which has remained unchanged since May 2019, stood at 3.3% in November 2018.

The number of unemployed people in Germany was 1.36 million in November 2019, down from 1.42 million in the same month a year ago on an adjusted basis.

Meanwhile, the number of people employed in Germany rose by 13,000 on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis in November 2019.

On an unadjusted basis, the rate came in at 3.1% in November 2019, compared to 3.0% recorded in the prior month.
