Axpo sells 70 MW of French wind capacity

Swiss energy company Axpo Holding AG divested its stake in four French wind farms with a combined capacity of 70.15 MW for an undisclosed sum to a fund of Evangelische Bank eG.

The plants, commissioned between March 2018 and April 2019, generate approximately 189,000 MWh of electricity annually, Axpo said in an Aug. 20 news release.

The agreement also includes for Axpo's Germany-based subsidiary Volkswind GmbH to continue to provide operational and maintenance services for the four wind facilities. Volkswind has more than 3,000 MW of wind projects in its development pipeline, Axpo said.
