Yume no Machi Souzou Iinkai fiscal Q1 profit climbs 70.8% YOY

Yume no Machi Souzou Iinkai Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, came to ¥2.21 per share, an increase of 70.8% from ¥1.29 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥90.8 million, a gain of 70.8% from ¥53.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 9.6% from 6.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 12.2% on an annual basis to ¥949.0 million from ¥846.0 million, and total operating expenses grew 6.9% from the prior-year period to ¥811.0 million from ¥759.0 million.

Reported net income grew year over year to ¥91.9 million, or ¥2.23 per share, from ¥32.0 million, or 78 sen per share.
