Pudjiadi & Sons swings to loss in Q1

PT Pudjiadi & Sons Tbk said its first-quarter normalized net income was a loss of 1.08 rupiah per share, compared with 2.87 rupiah per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 1.33 billion rupiah, compared with income of 2.29 billion rupiah in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 3.1% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 18.5% on an annual basis to 42.41 billion rupiah from 52.03 billion rupiah, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to 41.11 billion rupiah from 43.18 billion rupiah.

Reported net income fell 99.8% on an annual basis to 9.3 million rupiah, or 1 sen per share, from 5.55 billion rupiah, or 6.95 rupiah per share.

As of April 30, US$1 was equivalent to 12,980 rupiah.
