JPMorgan Chase & Co. acquired 114.4 million shares of Moscow Exchange, equivalent to a 5.02% stake in the company, Rambler News Service reported June 1.
The transaction took place May 17, but was disclosed by Moscow Exchange on June 1. The financial details of the deal were not provided.
The Russian central bank is the largest shareholder of the Moscow Exchange, with an 11.76% stake. PAO Sberbank of Russia, Vnesheconombank and the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development own 9.99%, 8.39% and 6.06% of the exchange, respectively.
