Sokensha fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Sokensha Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥12.41 per share, a decline of 51.7% from ¥25.71 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥8.8 million, a decrease of 51.7% from ¥18.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 0.7% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to ¥1.28 billion from ¥1.22 billion, and total operating expenses increased 5.7% year over year to ¥1.26 billion from ¥1.19 billion.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to ¥101.0 million, or ¥143.30 per share, from ¥27.0 million, or ¥38.30 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
