Bellway PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Jan. 31 amounted to 81 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of £1.05 per share.
EPS climbed 52.9% year over year from 53 pence.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £99.3 million, an increase of 53.1% from £64.9 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 18.7% year over year to £831.2 million from £700.4 million, and total operating expenses increased 12.5% year over year to £665.6 million from £591.6 million.
Reported net income increased 56.7% on an annual basis to £126.4 million, or £1.03 per share, from £80.7 million, or 66 pence per share.
