WarnerMedia's Rooster Teeth lays off 13% of workforce

WarnerMedia's Rooster Teeth Productions LLC is laying off 13% of its workforce, or about 50 employees, Rooster Teeth CEO Matt Hullum said in a memo to staff posted by Variety.

Hullum said the layoffs were not "reflective of anyone's individual performance" but were needed to achieve future growth targets of the company. The layoffs affected content production, advertising, distribution and the e-commerce areas of the organization. A representative said events staff were not let go.

WarnerMedia is a unit of AT&T Inc. Rooster Teeth became part of WarnerMedia after AT&T acquired The Chernin Group LLC's interest in Otter Media Holdings LLC.
