Accent Group fiscal H1 profit climbs 6.3% YOY

Accent Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 28, 2014, was 2 Australian cents per share, an increase from 2 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$4.7 million, an increase of 6.3% from A$4.4 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue increased 53.1% on an annual basis to A$49.0 million from A$32.0 million, and total operating expenses increased 66.0% from the prior-year period to A$41.4 million from A$24.9 million.

Reported net income rose 10.9% year over year to A$5.6 million, or 2 cents per share, from A$5.0 million, or 2 cents per share.
