Asian Phytoceuticals Q2 profit falls YOY

Asian Phytoceuticals Public Company Ltd said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 15.4 million baht, a fall of 49.1% from 30.2 million baht in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin fell to 16.5% from 25.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 20.6% on an annual basis to 92.9 million baht from 116.9 million baht, and total operating expenses totaled 69.9 million baht, compared with 70.4 million baht in the prior-year period.

Reported net income declined 47.8% on an annual basis to 20.1 million baht, or 1 satang per share, from 38.6 million baht, or 2 satang per share.

As of Aug. 7, US$1 was equivalent to 35.16 baht.
