Ahold Delhaize buys back €6.1M of stock

Dutch food retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Aug. 27 that it bought back €6.1 million worth of shares between Aug. 19 and Aug. 23 as part of its €1 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2018.

The company bought 290,300 shares at an average price of €20.89 each. The company's average closing share price during the five-day period was €20.81.

Ahold Delhaize has so far repurchased €744.7 million worth of shares under the program.

The latest buyback follows the redemption of €17.5 million worth of shares from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16.
