Impact investor S CAP injected capital into Bright Greens Inc. and Libre Naturals Inc. through its Food & Beverage Fund.

Bright Greens is a Rockville, Md.-based manufacturer of frozen blended smoothie products, while Libre Naturals is a Canada-based maker of allergen-free foods including granola bars, protein bars, unbaked granolas and oatmeal cups.

S CAP said the two companies intend to expand their distribution across retail channels over the next few months.

S CAP is a New York-based venture capital firm investing in food, beverage and clean technology companies at late-seed and series A stages.
