French insurer La Mondiale places €500M RT1 bond

French insurer La Mondiale placed a debt issuance of Restricted Tier 1 debt that it said was more than 10x oversubscribed.

The €500 million bond was priced with a coupon of 4.375% and has a first call option after 10 years. The issuance raised La Mondiale's pro forma June 30 Solvency II ratio by 13 percentage points to 242%. SGAM AG2R La Mondiale's Solvency II ratio increased by 8 percentage points to 193%.

HSBC, Natixis and Morgan Stanley were the co-arrangers of the placement, with HSBC as structurer.
