China's Jiangxi Copper Co. Ltd. reported a profit attributable to shareholders of 1.30 billion yuan, up 1.77% year on year, with basic EPS after one-off profit and loss items doubling to 32 fen.
Operating revenue for the six months improved 0.51% year over year to 105.04 billion yuan, according to the Aug. 29 release.
The company said it met production guidance for all products, with copper cathode output climbing 3.51% to 749,300 tonnes and copper concentrate production inching up 0.2% to 102,000 tonnes, on a yearly basis.
Silver production dropped 8.13% to 169.01 tonnes and gold output slid 0.17% to 12.88 tonnes.
Production of molybdenum concentrates increased 4.82% year over year to 3,917 tonnes.
As of Aug. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 7.14 yuan.
