Sekar Laut Q1 profit climbs 9.3% YOY

PT Sekar Laut Tbk said its first-quarter normalized net income was 4.78 rupiah per share, an increase of 9.3% from 4.37 rupiah per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.30 billion rupiah, an increase of 9.3% from 3.02 billion rupiah in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 1.8% from 1.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 8.9% year over year to 183.54 billion rupiah from 168.58 billion rupiah, and total operating expenses increased 8.5% on an annual basis to 177.45 billion rupiah from 163.49 billion rupiah.

Reported net income grew 6.9% on an annual basis to 3.92 billion rupiah, or 5.67 rupiah per share, from 3.67 billion rupiah, or 5.31 rupiah per share.

As of May 1, US$1 was equivalent to 13,007 rupiah.
