Hanoi Beer Trading Q2 profit climbs 60.7% YOY

Hanoi Beer Trading JSC said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 4,225.40 dong per share, an increase of 60.8% from 2,628.51 dong per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 13.20 billion dong, a gain of 60.7% from 8.21 billion dong in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 6.5% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 8.5% on an annual basis to 202.98 billion dong from 187.16 billion dong, and total operating expenses climbed 5.0% on an annual basis to 182.66 billion dong from 173.92 billion dong.

Reported net income rose 56.4% on an annual basis to 16.47 billion dong, or 5,275.00 dong per share, from 10.53 billion dong, or 3,371.75 dong per share.

As of July 21, US$1 was equivalent to 21,817.50 dong.
