Eurocash Q3 profit climbs 25.4% YOY

4239373 said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 38 groszy per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 44 groszy per share.

EPS rose 25.4% year over year from 30 groszy.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 52.4 million zlotys, a gain of 25.4% from 41.8 million zlotys in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.0% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 21.7% year over year to 5.49 billion zlotys from 4.51 billion zlotys, and total operating expenses climbed 21.7% on an annual basis to 5.39 billion zlotys from 4.43 billion zlotys.

Reported net income grew 21.9% on an annual basis to 70.1 million zlotys, or 51 groszy per share, from 57.5 million zlotys, or 41 groszy per share.
