Nihon Eslead Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥63.87 per share, a gain from ¥8.38 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥985.6 million, an increase from ¥129.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 10.2% from 2.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 59.3% year over year to ¥9.65 billion from ¥6.06 billion, and total operating expenses rose 38.4% year over year to ¥8.03 billion from ¥5.81 billion.
Reported net income increased year over year to ¥1.00 billion, or ¥64.80 per share, from ¥123.0 million, or ¥7.97 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
