Namchow Holdings profit beats consensus by 23.1% in Q1

Namchow Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter was NT$1.11 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 90 cents per share.

EPS climbed 19.2% year over year from 93 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$275.2 million, a gain of 19.2% from NT$230.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 7.4% from 6.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to NT$3.72 billion from NT$3.57 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to NT$3.27 billion from NT$3.18 billion.

Reported net income came to NT$288.1 million, or NT$1.16 per share, compared to NT$288.0 million, or NT$1.16 per share, in the prior-year period.
