Pantheon launches operations in Dublin

Pantheon started its operations in Dublin through its newly formed designated activity company, according to a Jan. 8 news release.

The firm said Pantheon Ventures (Ireland) DAC is authorized as a European Union alternative investment fund manager, as well as investment manager for its Luxembourg-based alternative investment funds and single-investor vehicles.

The Dublin team will be led by Stephen Branagan as CEO and Pantheon's head of Ireland. Branagan was former head of Pantheon's valuations team in London. He will be joined by Maeve Kelly as head of compliance and money laundering reporting officer, Laura Kilduff as operational risk manager and chief risk officer, and Sinead McQuaid as senior fund accountant.

Kelly most recently was senior compliance manager at Cantor Fitzgerald LP's Ireland division, Kilduff was a senior risk manager at HSBC's Ireland branch, and McQuaid worked within Goldman Sachs' equity exotics trading desk in London.

Naomi Daly was named independent nonexecutive chairman of the new company. Daly is the founding CEO and executive director of Maples & Calder Fund Management's alternative investment fund manager and undertakings for the collective investment in transferable securities business in Ireland.
