Value Partners names co-chairmen, lowers dividend

Value Partners Group Ltd. named Cheah Cheng Hye and So Chun Ki Louis co-chairmen of its board.

Cheah is currently chairman and co-chief investment officer of the company, while So is currently deputy chairman and co-chief investment officer. In their roles as co-chairmen, So and Cheah will oversee the overall business strategies of the group. Their appointments as co-chairmen are conditional upon certain amendments to the articles of association of the company being approved by shareholders.

In addition, the company's board recommended a final dividend of 6 Hong Kong cents per share for 2018, down from the prior year's final dividend 18 cents per share.

In 2017, Value Partners also declared a special dividend of 86 cents per share. As such, the company's total dividend for 2018 fell to 6 cents per share from HK$1.04 per share in the year prior. The final dividend is subject to approval from shareholders at their annual meeting on April 26.
