Zensho Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥2.75 per share, a decrease of 54.7% from ¥6.07 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥408.6 million, a decline of 44.4% from ¥734.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 0.3% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 9.7% year over year to ¥131.82 billion from ¥120.13 billion, and total operating expenses rose 10.8% on an annual basis to ¥131.56 billion from ¥118.71 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥317.0 million, or a loss of ¥2.13 per share, compared to income of ¥313.0 million, or ¥2.59 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.28.
