Delta Electronics Q3 profit climbs 6.4% YOY

Delta Electronics Inc. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to NT$1.82 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$2.10 per share.

EPS increased 6.1% year over year from NT$1.71.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$4.46 billion, an increase of 6.4% from NT$4.19 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 8.0% from 8.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 10.8% on an annual basis to NT$55.91 billion from NT$50.45 billion, and total operating expenses increased 12.6% on an annual basis to NT$49.76 billion from NT$44.20 billion.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to NT$5.89 billion, or NT$2.40 per share, from NT$5.83 billion, or NT$2.38 per share.

As of Oct. 28, US$1 was equivalent to NT$32.40.
