Tribune Publishing CEO steps down

Justin Dearborn has stepped down as chairman and CEO of Tribune Publishing Co.

The newspaper publisher said Jan. 17 that it named Timothy Knight as its new CEO and David Dreier as its new board chairman.

Knight was most recently in charge of Tribune Publishing's local market operations. He joined the company in February 2017 and had served as president of its digital content and commerce division. He was previously president and CEO of Newsday Media Group and publisher of Newsday.

Meanwhile, Dreier, who was appointed to Tribune Publishing's board in June 2016, is chairman of the Annenberg-Dreier Commission.
