Olympic Steel Inc. acquired the assets of Ohio-based McCullough Industries Inc. in an all-cash deal
The company did not disclose the terms of the deal.
McCullough manufactures and sells branded self-dumping hoppers used in industrial applications. Its products are primarily sold through industrial distributors and catalogues.
"The McCullough acquisition marks our entry into manufacturing and marketing metal-intensive branded products, which is a key element to our long-term growth strategy," Olympic Steel CEO Richard Marabito said.
Olympic Steel veteran Joseph Casey was named general manager at McCullough in connection with the deal.
The transaction closed Jan. 2, the company said in a same-day release.
