Mekong Fisheries Q2 profit falls YOY

Mekong Fisheries JSC said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 23.67 dong per share, a decline of 92.3% from 306.01 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 236.1 million dong, a decline of 92.2% from 3.04 billion dong in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 0.3% from 2.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 26.9% year over year to 92.93 billion dong from 127.13 billion dong, and total operating expenses declined 24.3% year over year to 93.96 billion dong from 124.05 billion dong.

Reported net income decreased 95.3% on an annual basis to 299.2 million dong, or 30.00 dong per share, from 6.38 billion dong, or 642.74 dong per share.

As of July 17, US$1 was equivalent to 21,813.50 dong.
