U.S. gaming operators saw average short interest rise 14 basis points during the second half of November, reaching 5.83% of outstanding shares.
Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. saw the largest rise in short interest relative to shares outstanding among SNL-covered gaming operators between Nov. 15 and Nov. 30. The company saw short interest rise 133 basis points to 8.85% of shares outstanding at the end of the period.
Eldorado Resorts Inc. had the biggest drop in short interest relative to shares outstanding among SNL-covered gaming operators. The percentage of the company's shares held short relative to shares outstanding fell 44 basis points to 14.50% as of Nov. 30. The company also topped the list of most-shorted gaming operators during the second half of November.
