Arcland Service Q1 profit climbs 6.7% YOY

Arcland Service Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to ¥13.99 per share, a decline of 5.4% from ¥14.79 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥445.4 million, a gain of 6.7% from ¥417.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 9.1% from 10.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 18.5% year over year to ¥4.92 billion from ¥4.15 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 21.4% on an annual basis to ¥4.22 billion from ¥3.48 billion.

Reported net income declined 6.6% year over year to ¥423.0 million, or ¥13.29 per share, from ¥453.0 million, or ¥16.04 per share.
