Facebook Inc. entered into a partnership with Warner Music Group Corp. that includes licensing deals covering the music company's recorded music and music publishing catalogs.
The partnership will allow the companies to develop new products that enable users to personalize their music experiences across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Oculus, according to a March 9 news release.
Earlier this year, Sony Corp. unit Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC entered into a multi-territory, multiyear deal with Facebook. The social networking giant reached a similar agreement with Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group in December 2017.
