TOYA SpA Q2 profit climbs 33.7% YOY

TOYA Spólka Akcyjna said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 10 groszy per share, a gain of 29.6% from 7 groszy per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 7.5 million zlotys, a gain of 33.7% from 5.6 million zlotys in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 9.4% from 8.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 16.7% year over year to 80.1 million zlotys from 68.6 million zlotys, and total operating expenses climbed 14.5% year over year to 68.1 million zlotys from 59.5 million zlotys.

Reported net income rose 37.6% from the prior-year period to 9.4 million zlotys, or 12 groszy per share, from 6.8 million zlotys, or 9 groszy per share.

As of Aug. 18, US$1 was equivalent to 3.79 zlotys.
