Berkshire Hathaway Energy records 84% YOY growth in net income

Berkshire Hathaway Energy announced net income attributable to shareholders of $684.0 million in the 2019 second quarter, improving 84% from $372.0 million a year earlier.

Operating revenue was $4.89 billion, a decrease from $4.99 billion in the second quarter of 2018, according to an Aug. 5 filing. The Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary also reported operating income of $959.0 million, a decrease from $972.0 million, in the year-ago quarter.
