Wirecard AG raised its guidance for 2025, on the back of new "accelerating growth drivers" and partnerships, particularly with Japanese telecommunications firm SoftBank Group Corp.
The Germany-based financial technology firm now projects transaction volume to breach €810 billion in 2025, compared with previous guidance of €710 billion, driven by its increased focus on large companies.
It expects group revenues to reach more than €12 billion, up from previous guidance of more than €10 billion, while EBITDA is expected to be more than €3.8 billion, compared with more than €3.3 billion in its previous guidance.
Wirecard also attributed the revised guidance to the "ongoing development of the payment ecosystem and its expansion to include digital financial services" and its international expansion ambitions. The company recently expanded its partnership with Mizuho Bank Ltd. to enter more territories in Asia-Pacific. It also signed an accord on operations with SoftBank unit Brightstar Corp.
