Bolivia central bank taps new vice chairman

Banco Central de Bolivia appointed Gabriel Herbas Camacho as the vice chairman of its board, effective Jan. 8, and named Sergio Velarde Vera as substitute vice chairman.

Herbas Camacho replaces Abraham Pérez Alandia, who served as the Bolivian central bank's vice chairman during 2018.

Herbas Camacho has been working as a director on the central bank's board since Nov. 21, 2017, the monetary authority said.
