Perez was formerly executive vice president of national insurance specialty at Liberty Mutual.

Towle most recently served as executive vice president and led the captive practice at JLT Insurance Management.

Axa XL appointed Alonso Tello to lead its new local captive practice in Canada.

He will oversee the growth of the captive business in Canada and will also provide technical support in structuring global captive programs across business lines, ensure best practices compliance for global programs and develop captive products.

Tello was previously senior fronting manager for captive services and alternative risk transfer for commercial insurance U.K. at Zurich Insurance PLC.
