The U.S. House passed a two-week extension of the National Flood Insurance Program through June 14, Bloomberg News reported.
The bill was passed with a fast-track procedure used when members are on recess. The Senate has already approved an extension.
A $19 billion disaster aid bill, also already passed by the Senate, that includes a reauthorization of the NFIP through Sept. 30 is expected to be approved by the House in the week of June 3, and President Donald Trump is expected to sign the bill, according to the report.
