General Mills recalls all-purpose flour over E. coli risks

General Mills Inc. is recalling a specific batch of its Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour due to the possible presence of E. coli O26.

According to a Sept. 16 notice, the recall only involves five-pound bags with a best-before date of Sept. 6, 2020.

No illnesses related to the products being recalled have been reported so far, the company said.

The flour producer urged affected consumers to discard the products immediately or return them to their place of purchase for a refund.
