Avanco Resources Ltd. said June 4 that it does not expect a material impact on C1 cash costs or all-in sustaining costs for the second quarter, after resuming mining activity at its Brazilian copper operations.
In late May, the miner suspended plant operations and most mining activities at its Antas mine and a drilling program at the Pantera project due to a truck drivers' strike in the country.
The Brazil-focused copper miner said the Antas copper mine is receiving fuel shipments and resumed normal functions as fuel and other supplies flow into Parauapebas.
Avanco also said concentrate containers that were detained at the roadblock are now heading safely to port, and additional containers are being loaded onto vessels to make up for shortfalls in previous shipments.
Scheduled maintenance work on the plant was also completed while the mine was offline.
