KLA-Tencor fiscal Q4 profit rises YOY

KLA-Tencor Corp.'s fiscal fourth-quarter income rose year over year as product and service revenues grew.

The company reported net income of $348.8 million, or $2.22 per share, in the quarter ended June 30, up from $256.2 million, or $1.62 per share, in the same period last year.

Non-GAAP EPS stood at $2.22, up from $1.64 in the year-ago quarter and higher than the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of $2.12.

Revenues totaled $1.07 billion, up from $938.6 million. Product revenue rose year over year to $840.5 million from $737.4 million, and service revenue came in at $229.5 million, up from $201.2 million.

For the full fiscal year, the company reported net income of $802.3 million, or $5.10 per share, down from $926.1 million, or $5.88 per share, a year ago.
