Capio buys Swedish healthcare provider for the elderly

Capio AB acquired Legevisitten AB, a Swedish provider of healthcare services for the elderly with primary care activities.

The transaction closed on Sept. 1, following approvals of the county councils of Stockholm and Värmland, as well as the Swedish Competition Authority.

The addition of Legevisitten's operations to Capio expands the company's offerings of geriatrics and related services for the elderly. It also increases its recurring listed patients by about 82,000.

Capio said the acquisition is expected to be accretive on an EPS basis from 2019.

The Sweden-based company, through its subsidiaries, provides healthcare services in Europe, with operations divided into Nordic, France and Germany segments.
