Ahold Delhaize buys back €17.3M worth of shares

Dutch food retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Aug. 13 that it bought back €17.3 million worth of its shares between Aug. 5 and Aug. 9 as part of its €1 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2018.

The company bought 848,200 shares at an average price of €20.34 each. The company's average closing share price during the five-day period was €22.91.

Ahold Delhaize has so far repurchased €721.1 million worth of shares under the program.

The latest buyback follows the redemption of €10.6 million worth of shares from July 29 to Aug. 2.
