WeWork Cos. has signed a lease for the entire 10-story Raheja Platinum commercial building in Andheri, Mumbai, The Economic Times of India reported, citing multiple persons familiar with the development.
Raheja Platinum is owned by K Raheja Group and it has a total of 200,000 square feet of office space, the paper noted.
The flexible workspace provider already has another property under lease in Andheri, and three others in all of Mumbai. It has also been leasing assets in Delhi-National Capital Region and Bangalore and plans to double its facilities in India to 16-20 centers by the end of the 2018 financial year, according to the May 29 report.
In Mumbai alone, WeWork previously leased Enam Securities Group's standalone building in Bandra-Kurla Complex, comprising 190,000 square feet. It also has rented two buildings in Worli and 100,000 square feet of space in Navi Mumbai.
